The Creative Journey of a Digital Fashion Designer: Building Your Own Brand

February ‘26

My name is Krizia. I studied fashion design in Milan and then focused on 3D design. To me, fashion is more than just sketching. It represents identity, atmosphere and vision – not just beauty.

That’s why my goal has never been “to work in fashion”, but to build my own brand, with a clear and recognizable direction. In my journey, digital tools didn’t come later as an add-on. They became a core part of how I design. Using 3D tools such as CLO3D has transformed how I approach my work.

It lets me fully design a puffer jacket for my first collection launch, visualize volumes, fabric weight, fit, and the overall look before making a physical prototype. It's a method to preview the outcome.

What fascinates me most is the creative freedom this method offers. I can test multiple versions, experiment, adjust and refine quickly, without losing control of the project. For someone like me who wants to build a brand, this is very important. It means creating brand collections in a more thoughtful and skilled way.

This helps reduce mistakes and waste. It also makes the tech pack clearer and easier to share during production.

Today, I believe the difference between a traditional designer and a digitally skilled one lies in the speed at which an idea becomes a complete project. Traditional designers have a strong foundation in craftsmanship and product culture.

However, designers using digital tools hold a significant advantage— they can visualize, design and communicate everything in advance, with incredible precision. This is where digital fashion design becomes a practical skill, not just a concept.

My creative approach brings two dimensions together: the sensitivity of real fashion and the power of digital design.

I draw in 3D not to replace traditional fashion processes, but to push it forward - making it fresher, more efficient, and more my own.

Studioforma gives me the space to experiment freely, trust my creativity, and develop my brand within a fashion and tech workflow. It's where I can prototype, refine, and discover my brand's full potential while aligning the craft of SF network of producers and my digital design.
